The historic fishing and seafaring neighborhood of Marbella, Las Chapas, celebrates its patron saint - La Virgen del Carmen - with fairgrounds, dancing, parades, performances, elections of fair queens and princesses and a picturesque maritime procession in which the image of the Virgin is accompanied by decorated boats.
